Concerto's collection of CDs and vinyls records, new as well as second-hand, is famous for covering a multitude of genres: Classical, Jazz, Reggae, Funk, International and American. You can find some rare gems if you have the patience to search the containers carefully.
This store is part of the Portland history.
It was founded in 1969 by Tom Willis, a young rock music enthusiast, moving from Louisiana to Portland to pursue the dream of forming his own rock band.
Unfortunately his band didn't quite succeed, but his passion for vinyl and his extensive collection prompted him to open his shop, which quickly became a reference on the music market.
Here you can find whatever you're looking for, with rare collection pieces hiding between dusty music sold for a couple of bucks only. Tom does it for the music, not for the riches.
Attention, Concerto doesn't have a strict opening hours schedule. Concerto usually opens in the early afternoon and can remain open until 4 in the morning.
