The Sushi Roll is a fusion restaurant, between the ancient art of the Japanese cuisine and all the international influences that sushi has had in the recent years.
The owners are Ken Lee (Japanese) and Patricia Willow (Irish). They both moved to Portland in 2011 to expand their chain of restaurants from Europe to America.
The place is quiet and minimalist.
The counter where the dishes are made is exposed, and spectators are welcome.
On Saturday, Ken, opens his kitchen for short courses on the preparation of Sushi.
The prices of the dishes are fairly high but the quality is excellent.
Unfortunately they do not accept reservations, and depending on what time you go, you might have to wait.
However, there is a bar that will welcome you with fantastic cocktails served with Japanese snacks.
The restaurant is only open at dinnertime, all week, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
